Ras Al Khaimah and Singapore to Discuss the Bilateral Cooperation'

Ras Al Khaimah, UAE - Monday; 15/07/2019:  H.E Mohamed Ali Musabbeh Al Nuaimi, Chairman, Ras al Khaimah Chamber of Commerce and Industry and H. E. Low Pit Chen, Consul-General of the Republic of Singapore in Dubai discussed strengthening the bilateral business cooperation, and the economic issues that contribute to reinforcing the investment cooperation between Ras Al Khaimah and the Republic of Singapore.

The meeting was attended by H.E Youssef Ismail, Head of the Supreme Committee of Saud Bin Saqr Foundation for Youth Project Development, H.E Arafa Al Falahi, H.E. Aisha Alqatami, Board of Directors members of  Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Mohamed Hassan Al Sabab, Director General of RAK Chamber of Commerce and Industry .

H.E Mohamed Ali Musabbeh Al Nuaimi, Chairman, Ras al Khaimah Chamber of Commerce and Industry noted that the emirate seeks to reinforce the cooperation with Singapore and establish strong partnership that better contribute to the economic development. There are several sectors in both countries that offer great investment opportunities including the tourism, health care, construction and the manufacturing.  

He further highlighted that Ras Al Khaimah results demonstrated significant growth during the last ten years, which came as a result of the continuous efforts made by the government to enhance the economy and establish Ras Al Khaimah position as an attractive investment destination, supported by the leadership and vision of His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, member of Supreme Council, Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah. 

“UAE Government has issued many decisions to stimulate, activate and facilitate the businesses; specifying 122 economic activities to be eligible for 100 per cent foreign ownership, which shall positively affect the economy on short and long term, and offer the opportunity to the international companies to expand their business in UAE”  Al Nuaimi added.

Al Nuaimi invited H.E Consul-General of the Republic of Singapore to participate in the events that shall take place in Ras Al Khaimah including the International Exhibition for SMEs 7th Arab Conference of Investment in Food Security, the two events shall host over 300 countries and companies, which shall offer a great opportunity for participants to showcase their activities and opportunities, and establish global partnerships and expansions. 

H. E. Low Pit Chen, Consul-General of the Republic of Singapore in Dubai, underscored the importance of reinforcing the bilateral relations, and activation of the investment relations. He noted that there are many companies from Singapore which seek to have meetings with Emirati investors, find new markets for their products and to discuss the available investment opportunities in both countries in different sectors such as industrial, tourism, education, health, food and SMEs.
