GEMS Rewards programme named the ‘Regional Loyalty Champion of the Year' for Middle East and Africa 
• The programme gets recognised for delivering significant value and purpose 
 
Dubai, United Arab Emirates - 19 June 2019:  GEMS Education, the leading K-12 school operator has won at the prestigious ‘Loyalty Magazine Awards 2019' under the Middle East and Africa category for its GEMS Rewards loyalty programme, and named the ‘Regional Loyalty Champion of the Year' for Middle East and Africa. 
 
The award was collected by Elmarie Venter, Chief Enrolment, Marketing, Communications and Corporate Relations at GEMS Education and Sugam Bhasin, Vice President - Marketing at GEMS Education at a gala ceremony held in the Pavilion, Tower of London, United Kingdom. 
 
GEMS Education was up against strong competition in the category and got recognised for its vision of cost neutrality for the highest quality of education achieved through direct and indirect savings. A primary measure of success for the programme was that since launch in 2017, parents & staff across the GEMS network in the UAE have saved over AED 33.9 million through various components of GEMS Rewards.  
 
Sugam Bhasin, Vice President - Marketing at GEMS Education said: “We are honoured to be recognised on an international level for the GEMS Rewards programme. The drive was designed with the purpose of helping to make school fees cost-neutral for our parents, and to enhance our colleagues' lifestyles by bringing compelling offers, all accessible on digital platforms. 
 
Sugam continued: “GEMS Rewards uses multiple channels that cater to all segments of the GEMS Education community, and we would like to thank everyone for their hard work in making our mission become a reality.”
 
GEMS Rewards has a diverse customer offering that caters to all, from no disposable income families who care more about savings to high disposable income families where experiences matter.
 
The Loyalty Magazine Awards celebrate excellence, innovation and best practice in the loyalty industry across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Created by Loyalty Magazine, the Awards have responded to a desire in the loyalty business to celebrate the achievements of those companies and organisations excelling and achieving the extraordinary.
