Al-Futtaim Trading Enterprises Honda technician to represent Middle East region at Honda's World Skills Contest in Japan

Prajeeth Chandran will be among 26 finalists from over 75,000 mechanical technicians worldwide
Dubai, April 25, 2019: 40-year-old Prajeeth Naduvalappil Chandran, a Mechanical Technician at Al-Futtaim Honda has been elected to represent the Middle East region at the inaugural Honda World Skills Contest, which will be held in Japan in May this year.
Mr. Prajeeth Chandran who has been working at Al-Futtaim Honda for over 14 years was elected the winner from 116 mechanical technicians in the National Skills Contest in September 2018 in the preliminary round. He went on to beat eight other National winners from the Middle East to win the regional event held at the Honda Middle East Office in October 2018.

There are four levels to the competition - starting with a written test from which the top five contestants qualified for the UAE National Skills Contest. The winner then went on to represent the UAE and compete against eight other contestants at the regional event and earned a place in the global finals. The final 26 contestants shortlisted from over 75,000 technicians worldwide will compete for the title of Honda World Technician in the final stage.
