Al Mouj Muscat holds a Fire Evacuation Drill

Muscat, 11 March 2019 –   Al Mouj Muscat, Oman's lifestyle and leisure destination, recently held a Fire Evacuation Drill at one of its residential buildings, Marsa 2-Block A. The drill is aimed to promote awareness around fire safety within the community and ensure that all residents are best prepared for any emergency evacuations. 

This activity falls in line with the newly established Al Mouj Emergency and Evacuation Management Plan which covers all possible emergency types that could happen in the development. As well, it was conducted as a learning exercise for all participants and was in accordance with the requirements of the Public Authority for Civil Defense and Ambulance.  

The evacuation drill witnessed the use of a specialised rescue chair to move a mobility impaired person from the third floor to an assembly point which was an important learning to help such cases in emergency situations. A meeting was held after the drill activity to mark all observations and learnings.
