Malabar Gold & Diamonds conducted 全afety for All' training in association with Community Development Authority, Dubai.

- Updated First Aid Kit box arranged and First Responder assigned at Malabar Gold & Diamonds branches across UAE
Dubai, UAE, June 21, 2018: Malabar Gold & Diamonds, one of the largest jewellery retailers globally with over 215 retail outlets in association with the Community Development Authority, Dubai, organized “Safety for All” training for Malabar Gold & Diamonds employees at Dubai, from 18th June to 20th June, 2018.
The inauguration of the training was held on 18th June, 2018 and was graced by the presence of many distinguished personalities includes Mr. Marwan Ali – Head of Personal Training – Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services, Dr. Mohsen Mohammadi – HIS Training Manager at Ministry of Health, Mr. Sayed Salaymeh – Director of Nursing – Burjeel Hospital, Dubai, Ms. Zahra Biparva - Managing Director - Cornerstone Health Development Center, Mr. Ameer CMC - Director – Finance & Admin, Malabar Gold & Diamonds and Mr. Hamza K.S, Manager – CSR, Malabar Gold & Diamonds. The camp was led by an expert team from Cornerstone Health Development Center along with specialists in the field from various prominent hospitals and Authorities of U.A.E.
Commenting on the initiative, Mr Shamlal Ahamed, Managing Director - International Operations of Malabar Gold & Diamonds said ‘Malabar Group has emphasized on being actively involved in CSR initiatives since its inception. In today’s day and time, we felt that it is necessary that more and more people are aware of how to face medical emergencies. The training has made sure that our team members are equipped to respond to and manage a medical emergency appropriately until the medical services arrive and also to perform basic first aid duties’
The ‘Safety for All’ camp was conducted for over 80 employees of Malabar Gold & Diamonds. Cornerstone Health Development Center assisted in assigning First Responder at Malabar Gold & Diamonds outlets. Updated First Aid Kit box arranged all the showrooms across UAE & will arrange AED for the required branches. The CPR training classes conducted provided the attendees with primary information and skills needed to help adults, children and infants during breathing and cardiac emergencies and the Heart saver First Aid covered first aid basics for the most common first aid emergencies, including how to recognize them, how to call for help and how to perform lifesaving skills like actions for medical emergencies, including severe choking, heart attack, and stroke and skills for handling injury and environmental emergencies, including external bleeding, broken bones and sprains, and bites and stings. The certification of the training were awarded to the participants of the camp including AHA International Card, International Verification Certificate and CHDC Attendance Certificate.
The group supports many philanthropic activities and is always ready to take initiatives to help the deprived sections in the society. The key focus areas of the CSR initiatives of Malabar Group are in the areas of Health, Education, Women Empowerment, Housing and Environment. The group, which currently has showrooms across GCC, India, Malaysia and Singapore undertakes several welfare activities with the association of like-minded organizations in the respective regions.
