Dubai, 4 March 2018: The Kuwait Business Council in Dubai and the Northern Emirates (KuwaitBC) announces the launch of its first public event this year under the theme #CelebrateKuwait. The entertainment festival is organized in cooperation with Emaar Properties and GASTRONOMICA, a leading restaurant operator in Kuwait and the GCC. It also features the participation of many exciting Kuwaiti youth projects representing several sectors. The festival event will be held at Rise - Dubai Creek Harbor on March 9-10.
On this occasion, Luma Jasim Bourisly, KuwaitBC Board Member and chairwoman of the organizing committee, said, “The choice of the campaign and festival theme #CelebrateKuwait reflects our desire for the event to be an entertaining, family-friendly celebration for all visitors. The festival offers an enjoyable experience that includes musical performances, sports activities, and uniquely Kuwaiti attractions that make Kuwait a popular destination for visitors from the UAE. The event is made possible by our youth, who give the event a positive Kuwaiti spirit filled with love and creativity. "
"I am delighted to invite Kuwaiti talents and youth projects to participate in the festival and showcase their creativity. The event is expected to have more than 5,000 visitors over two days," Bourisly said.
The festival's activities include outdoor performances by popular Kuwaiti artists who blend Arab culture with Western music. The festival also includes sporting events for different members of the family, organized by the UFC GYM, and football demonstrations with the participation of coaches from GOAL! Sport Academy. The festival will also include exciting prize draws for audience members. The digital campaign for the event was designed by Ghalia, a leading communications agency led by Kuwaiti youth.
Ahmed Al Matrooshi, Managing Director of Emaar Properties, added: "We are delighted to host #CelebrateKuwait as part of our ongoing activities at Rise DCH with the aim of serving as a unique family entertainment destination for visitors of all ages. We are also excited that the upcoming event will have a distinctive Kuwaiti character, so visitors will have the opportunity to learn about Kuwait's rich artistic and creative landscape and its promising sporting talents, all in a festive atmosphere suitable for the entire family. The festival also represents the best expression of the deep bonds of love between the two brotherly peoples of the State of Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates. "
#CelebrateKuwait also features the exclusive participation of many youth projects, which range from modern restaurants, to specialized coffee carts eagerly prepared by coffee by specialists, to Kuwaiti pastries and products that offer a wide variety of delicious treats for fans of Kuwaiti cuisine.
Kuwait Business Council was established in May 2016 as an independent non-profit organization under the umbrella of Dubai Chamber. The Council aims to promote experiences, opportunities, and relationships for business professionals and Kuwaiti companies operating in Dubai and the Northern Emirates (Sharjah, Ajman, Umm Al Quwain, Ras Al Khaimah, and Fujairah). The establishment of Kuwait Business Council is the first of its kind for business communities outside of the State of Kuwait. It was founded by more than 21 members, representing a group of Kuwaiti companies and entrepreneurs in Dubai and the Northern Emirates.
