Al-Futtaim Honda launches all-new 2018 Honda Jazz

Dubai, January 22, 2018:  Al-Futtaim Honda, exclusive distributor of Honda cars, bikes, marine engines and power products in the UAE, has announced the launch of the all-new 2018 Honda Jazz.

 

Featuring a bold yet sophisticated exterior and interior design the all-new Jazz offers unmatched versatility as well as class-leading space, with a range of configurations for carrying cargo and passengers. The 2018 Honda Jazz offers a lively and responsive 1.5L Direct Injection i-VTEC engine mated to an efficient Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) with G-Shift control. 

 

 

The 2018 Jazz features updated and sportier styling, including a lower and wider appearance thanks to new front and rear fascia and Honda signature solid wing face grille flanked by headlights. The front bumper is sharply sculpted, with more aggressive lines around the halogen headlights giving it a bold and sportier look. With distinct styling and crisp aerodynamic body lines, the 2018 Jazz has been designed to make driving a pleasure. A low and confident stance gives way to a sleek, streamlined profile, where the emphasis is on sporty detailing and a striking set of new 16” alloy wheels. Front fog lights help to navigate in poor visibility weather and striking rear lights make the Jazz a head turner.  

 

 

The 2018 Jazz incorporates ‘man maximum, machine minimum’ design philosophy by being a compact and highly efficient vehicle. A new platform employs optimized packaging solutions to provide best-in-class space for occupants and cargo. A lower-profile fuel tank mounted in the centre frees up underfloor space beneath the rear seats, enabling the platform to accommodate Honda’s innovative Magic Seats system.

Some of the other interior features include a new 7-inch colour Display Audio touchscreen that puts all the things right at your fingertips. The Climate Control panel matches the Honda Display Audio screen operation just like a smartphone with a simple swipe and touch functionality. Steering Wheel Mounted Controls help you to control the volume of the radio or when making a call and paddle shifters allow you to control the upshift or downshift of gearbox similar to a manual transmission. The 2018 Jazz comes with fabric seats for that extra comfort and a leather steering wheel. 

 

 

The 2018 Jazz is powered by a 1.5-liter Direct Injection DOHC i-VTEC engine with Continuously Variable Transmission that provides instant throttle response whilst achieving the best in the segment fuel economy with low emissions. The engine combines outstanding torque of 155N-m @ 4600 rpm and generates an output power of 130hp @ 6600 rpm.

 

 

The 2018 Jazz utilizes Honda’s Advanced Compatibility Engineering™ (ACE™) body structure technology to enhance occupant protection and crash compatibility. It now incorporates Honda active-safety features such as the Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA), Anti-Lock Brake Systems (ABS), Electronic Brake Distributor (EBD) and Hill Start Assist (HSA), Whiplash Lessening Front Headrests and Driver and Passenger SRS Airbags for added protection.
