Last Update: Monday, December 18, 2017 : 16:17 (+4GMT)
- 1300 square meters to present 130 French Companies
- 30% of new exhibitors to introduce a whole new range of expertise in hospital furnishings & equipment, hygiene and risk prevention, diagnostics and implants
United Arab Emirates;December 18, 2017 - 130 French companies will be participating in the Middle East's largest healthcare exhibition from 29 January to 1 February 2018 on the French Pavilion. 33 companies will be visiting Dubai for the first time. Occupying an exhibition space of almost 1,300 m2, they will showcase their expertise in a wide variety of areas: hospital furnishings and equipment, hygiene and risk prevention, diagnostics, and implants.
The pavilion run by Business France will showcase the latest French innovations at Arab Health 2018. The technicality of these innovations is in line with the requirements of the highly demanding, fast-developing local market.
In 2017, France’s medical device market reported a turnover of €28 billion, generated by over 1,300 companies (92% of which are SMEs). The industrial sector employs 85,000 people in France. Growth in the sector is driven by exports, turnover from which is increasing by 5% annually. International development and R&D are the two main growth drivers for SMEs, and constitute a business model that 65% have chosen to adopt.
The medical devices sector in France pursues a three-pronged growth strategy based on ‘rational innovation, international development and external growth’, with exports being the main driver given the slowdown in the domestic market. In this regard, innovation is still a vital necessity for these companies. This is reflected in their efforts to develop solutions that incorporate new functionalities, based in particular on e-health technologies.
The following sectors will be the most strongly represented in the French Pavilion:
Hospital furnishings and equipment: medical beds, trolleys, wheelchairs, surgery lamps, dialysis chairs, gynaecology chairs, etc.
Prevention and management of hospital risks/hospital hygiene: air treatment and purification, hospital waste management, ventilation systems, decontamination of effluents, sterilisation and disinfection equipment, cold chain monitoring, temperature monitoring systems, etc.
Diagnostics: ultrasound diagnostic equipment, ultrasound scanners, Doppler scanners, endoscopes, X-ray units, etc.
Implants: arthroscopic, orthopaedic, gastric and intraocular implants, or surgical implants for cardiovascular, gastrointestinal and urological procedures, etc.
With the help of five regional partners — DEV’UP, Lille Eurasanté, Bretagne Commerce International, Medicalps (a healthcare technologies cluster in Grenoble-Isère) and, for the first time, Nouvelle Aquitaine.
This year the French pavilion at Arab Health is organized in partnership with Dubai Science Park (DSP), the vibrant, holistic, science-focused freezone community, dedicated to supporting entrepreneurs, SMEs and MNEs.
Stands To Watch At Arab Health 2017
Saint Romain: A french manufacturer of easy-to-use designer tableware for the healthcare sector will be unveiling its new products for 2018: The Ergo 3D case, a five-litre insulated pitcher, an ergonomic spoon for left- or right-handed users, and a range of lightweight, shatterproof plates made of biologically sourced materials. For over 70 years, it has been designing and manufacturing its innovative creations exclusively in France. Fully compliant with European standards, they help users regain their independence and make mealtimes a pleasure again.
SOLSTEO: is a French company that manufactures industrial ethylene oxide (EO) sterilisers and air purification systems. The MD market is becoming increasingly global, and SOLSTEO realised very early on that it must keep up with the trend. When a company exports 95% of its products, it must find a way to overcome distance to provide long-term support to its customers! By making the most of online technologies, SOLSTEO has given a new lease of life to the ageing world of industrial machinery!
STERIGERMS: Manufactures mobile machines for an on-site neutralisation of medical infectious waste (MIW), and has a strong 15 years industrial experience in this field. All that is needed to operate a STERIGERMS machine is a standard power outlet. In other terms, STERIGERMS is unique as it does not need any water or chemicals or any other process to treat MIW. As the official and exclusive supplier of the French Navy, its machines can be found on the Charles de Gaulle aircraft carrier, the flagship of the French fleet. From 29 January to 1 February 2018, STERIGERMS will be taking part in the Arab Health conference, where it will be exhibiting its 60-litre at the France Pavilion.
DELMONT IMAGING: The French start-up will be exhibiting ICARE+, a compact and innovative system that can be used for HD hysteroscopy in both offices and examination rooms. IMAGYN, which is an application installed on the iPad Pro, can be used to enter the operating report with just a few clicks. It will then be stored in the Cloud, thereby making it accessible from anywhere.
YSY MEDICAL: Previously presented as a prototype at the 2017 Arab Health trade fair, the final version of YSY CEMP is now ready. Its innovation lies in its advanced sensors, its pulsed electromagnetic field, as well as its unique and exclusive protocols. This hands-free solution allows the patient to remain clothed and its new postpartum indications ensure optimal quality of care.
