UAE dealership stages largest F-150 parade with more than 200 vehicles to Sharjah’s Badayer desert
Dubai, 12 December 2017. Al Tayer Motors, the official importer-dealer for Ford vehicles in the UAE, celebrated 100 years of Ford pick-up trucks with an event that brought together F-150 and F-150 Raptor customers and enthusiasts from all over the Emirates.
The event began from the Al Tayer Motors Ford showroom on Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road in Sharjah. Participants were in for a treat as they were able to see the newly arrived 2018 F-150 and F-150 Raptor vehicles, which were on display in the showroom for the first time.
A raffle draw was also staged, which saw three lucky vehicle owners Hussain Ahmed, Selvin Carvalho and Shanker Raipet win gift vouchers worth AED 25,000/-, AED 15,000/- and AED 10,000/- respectively, for Ford F-150 accessories.
After a short briefing by Roberto Lopes Da Silva, General Manager – Ford Sales, Al Tayer Motors, the vehicles made their way to the Badayer desert area in the emirate in a convoy of more than 200 vehicles - the largest for F-150 trucks driving together.
At the Badayer camp site, the F-150 and F-150 Raptor club members showed off the prowess of the car in handling the desert terrain with utmost ease. Owners demonstrated the unmatched off-road capabilities of their vehicles in navigating the desert landscape combining soft sandy areas as well as some challenging slopes.
Al Tayer Motors has a special offer on F-150, Ranger, Expedition and Explorer vehicles throughout December. Customers purchasing any of these vehicles will receive a voucher that entitles them to a complimentary 4X4 off-road training course through Emirates Driving Institute.
