Dubai Hosts the 1st Men's Health Congress

“Meet the Experts in Men’s Health on the Public Day this Wednesday”
Dubai – United Arab Emirates, 11 December 2017: Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, UAE Minister of Finance and President of the Dubai Health Authority, the first edition of Men’s Health Congress, focusing exclusively on men’s health, will be held from the 13th to the 15th of December this year, at the Mohammed bin Rashid Academic Medical Centre in Dubai Healthcare City.
The 3-day Men’s Health Congress is a highly specialized conference and exhibition, delving deeply into 3 core areas of men’s physical health, mental health and social well-being and covering various topics including Male Hormones, Prostate Cancer, Stress, Depression, Anxiety, Eating Disorder, Panic disorder, Social Support, Social Networks and Social isolation among other key areas of concern for men.
Men’s health Congress aims to promote healthier lives for men, foster research that supports men’s health; and build on achievements already made. Therefore, to increase regional awareness about Men's Health, the first edition of the Men’s Health Congress will open its doors to the public on its first day of inauguration that is scheduled to be 13th of December 2017 from 9:00 – 15:30 at the Mohammed bin Rashid Academic Medical Center, Dubai Healthcare City. This will be a full day round table and ask the experts sessions at the event, which allows the public to interact with the experts and also seize the opportunity to hear from other members and individuals while networking.
Over 30 speakers from Canada, Europe, and Asia and 400 medical experts and professionals from different parts of the world are expected to attend the medical conference and exhibition and attendees will also get the opportunity to attend 11 sessions and a dedicated workshop on greenlight laser. The workshop being held on the 3rd day of the conference will feature a special session by renowned expert, Prof. Dean Elterman, from Toronto, Canada, who will discuss Men’s Health Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH Hands-on).
Commenting on the launch of the first edition of Men’s Health Congress in Dubai, Dr. Salam Al Hasani, Chairman of Organizing Committee - Consultant Urologist & Assistant professor, Dubai Hospital said: "Our mission is to promote education, research and awareness to cater to the overall healthcare needs of men, right from adolescence to old age, and our primary goal is to encourage the public and healthcare providers to explore new ideas while also advocate new public health policies that address the various healthcare concerns of men in particular. And, in order to achieve this goal, Men’s Health Congress, is particularly designed to focus on identifying new opportunities for cooperation and collaboration between different specialties and disciplines of men’s health.”
An exhibition, running parallel to the conference, will showcase latest products and technologies that are currently used in the treatment of Benign Diseases of the Prostate: BPH (Enlargement) and Prostatitis, Medical and Surgical Treatments, Male Hormones, Male Psychology, Obesity and Cardiovascular Diseases, Prostate Cancer and Lower Urinary Tract Symptoms in Men.
The first edition of Men’s Health Congress is organized by INDEX Conferences and Exhibitions, a member of INDEX Holding, and the event is sponsored by Julphar Gulf Pharmaceutical Industries, Astellas Pharma International, Algorithm, Pharma Trade UAE- Coloplast, NMC Hospital and Sobi Middle East FZ LLC, Al Zahrawi Hospital and in collaboration with Friends of Patient Cancer (SHANAB), and it is supported by British Society for Sexual Medicine, European Society for Sexual Medicine and European Society of Oncological Urology.
