The festive mood is in the air at the Waterfront Market, Dubai’s one-of-a-kind destination focused on quality fresh food, as it prepares for the upcoming 46th UAE National Day celebrations. The Waterfront Market has announced many activities scheduled for families to enjoy and experience a relaxing and fun-filled time during the three-day holidays from December 1 to 3, 2017.
Visitors can expect a wide range of treats from 3pm to 9pm across the three days showcasing the UAE’s cultural heritage. Events include ‘ayyalah’ and ‘khaleeji’ traditional dances, live cooking stations for authentic Arabic sweets, various fusion cuisines and flea markets. Henna painting, face painting, stilt walking and balloon twisting are set to entertain the children, including a movie night on December 1 and 2 starting 6:30 pm until 8:30pm. The second day will feature Arabic live bands and drummers will play at the venue in celebration of the UAE National Day. A treasure hunt will be held for visitors to explore the market and win prizes.
Commenting on the celebrations, Mohamed Khamis Maktoom Al-Shehhi, Director at the Waterfront Market said, “The festive season is very much upon us and the winter celebrations at the Waterfront Market are taking off this December starting with the 46th UAE National Day. We are excited to welcome all visitors during the three-day festivities by making sure everyone is surprised and welcomed as they explore the mall. Food is highlighted throughout the weekend as it is an essential part of the celebrations in all occasions and we make sure every fresh find at the Waterfront Market is in excellent quality conditions.”
