Rolls-Royce Motor Cars to unveil one-off Bespoke ‘Spirit of Calligraphy' Ghost at Dubai International Motor Show

Dubai, UAE: November 13, 2017:  Rolls-Royce Motor Cars will showcase the capa-bilities of its unparalleled Bespoke programme at this year’s Dubai International Motor Show as it unveils a special one-off commission - the Bespoke ‘Spirit of Calligraphy’ Ghost.

Conceptualized by brand experts at AGMC, the sole dealers of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars in Dubai, Sharjah and the Northern Emirates, and hand-crafted by the experts at the Home of Rolls-Royce in Goodwood, England, the Spirit of Calligraphy is a unique Ex-tended Wheel Base Rolls-Royce Ghost that combines the words of the luxury brand’s founder with the region’s Arabian heritage. 

The Rolls-Royce ‘Spirit of Calligraphy’ Bespoke Ghost draws its design inspiration from the ancient art of Arabic Calligraphy, where words are harmoniously moulded into shapes, creating a unique effect where texts and images become one. Hand-painted on the fascia of this masterpiece is a delicate Motif created by renowned Arabic calligrapher Khalid Al Saaei, where Sir Henry Royce’s iconic words of “Take the best that exists and make it better. When it does not exist, design it” in their Arabic form are shaped into the Rolls-Royce’s famous flying mascot, the Spirit of Ecstasy.

The one-of-a-kind model features a sapphire black exterior with an arctic white coach-line and 21” painted wheels with matching wheel centres and arctic white pinstripes. The bespoke interior features Al Saaei’s Spirit of Ecstasy calligraphy motif as both a sil-ver inlay on the centre panel and as embroidery on the rear centre seat, amidst an eye-catching array of turchese, black and arctic white leathers, finished with black lambswool carpets.

Motoring enthusiasts will have the opportunity to view this exceptional one-of-a kind model first-hand at Rolls-Royce Motor Cars stand at the Dubai International Motor Show at Dubai World Trade Centre from 14th November until 18th November, where the marque will further reaffirm its position as the undisputed pinnacle of Bespoke au-tomotive luxury.
