Higher Organizing Committee of the UAE Economic Planning Forum successfully organizes 10th meeting

UAE, 24 October, 2017- The Higher Organizing Committee for the UAE Economic Planning Forum successfully held its tenth meeting under the chairmanship of Majid Al Suwaidi, Head of the Forum’s Organizing Committee and Director of the Customer Relations Department. The meeting was attended by a number of officials from relevant departments including the Departments of Economic Development in Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and Ajman. The agenda of the meeting focused on updates of the media plan, gifts, publications, promotional requirements, and invitation.

Al Suwaidi pointed out that the meeting aims to discuss coordination between the economic departments in the country in the move to organize an economic forum that is at par with the UAE’s leading economic standing. The meeting also discussed essential the details related to ensuring the optimal organization of this event, which represents the implementation of a key economic planning process on both local and federal levels.

Al Suwaidi said: “We are keen to discuss all the details related to the organization of the UAE Economic Planning Forum, which is now shaping up to be a key economic planning event that contributes to introduce the various economic development aspects and projects in our country. The 10th meeting of the Higher Organizing Committee included the latest developments on media planning, publications, and promotional requirements. We also discussed the best mechanisms to organize the exhibition, which will be held alongside the forum and issues related to the sponsors’ platforms. We will work hard to make a successful forum through the cooperation and joint efforts made with the Ministry of Economy and the Departments of Economic Development across the country—falling in line with the strategic objectives of the UAE Vision 2021 and the national economic trends”.

This year’s edition of the forum is being held under the theme, ‘Overseeing the future in light of new economic changes.’ The event will be held on November 1 & 2, 2017, under the patronage of His Highness (H.H.) Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Ruler of Ajman and Member of the UAE Supreme Council. The forum will also receive strategic support from the Ministry of Economy and Department of Economic Development – Abu Dhabi. The event will cover key topics and issues, including the economic development planning for the emirates and development projects, as well as the role of technology in advancing the development process in the country and the economic and investment realities locally and regionally.
