Last Update: Tuesday, October 3, 2017 : 12:20 (+4GMT)
Dubai, UAE, October 3, 2017 – (Hall 6 MAC6-35): HID Global, a worldwide leader in trusted identity solutions, has announced its participation at GITEX 2017, and will utilise its presence to launch its next generation multi-factor authentication tool the HID Approve™ app. The app adds a new level of trust for consumers and employees to securely transact online via their mobile devices. HID Global will also showcase HID Location™ services, its predictive analytics for workplace optimisation for the first time in the Middle East.
“Trusted identities are increasingly being employed to help organisations secure, customise and enhance the user experience across a growing range of industry segments that are embracing the power of the IoT. HID Global is delivering the next generation of multifactor authentication capabilities to help increase cybersecurity for digital business and help enterprises improve customer and employee satisfaction,” said Miguel Braojos, VP Global Sales - IAM Solutions, at HID Global.
From October 8-12, 2017, HID Global will present its extensive portfolio of Trusted Identity and Access Management solutions including live demonstrations of the HID Approve app and HID Location Services and offer visitors a hands-on understanding of how to address real-world secure identity challenges. In addition, the company will also launch and showcase its latest eco-friendly Secure Card Issuance solutions and service. Top demonstrations at the show include:
- Next-generation two-factor authentication through HID Approve™ that turns a mobile device into a handheld validation device or “authenticator” and verifies online access and transaction requests, such as digital banking transactions or corporate VPN access. The app combines public key-based cryptography and push technology to create a new experience for customers of banks, retailers and healthcare providers as well as between employees and enterprise or organisations.
- Workplace Optimisation with HID Location Services designed to address a growing market need for accurate, real-time location of an organization’s workforce. By combining innovative Internet of Things (IoT) technology with the power of Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), Wi-Fi and cloud-based solutions, organisations can gain increased visibility into the location of their workforce in a facility. This makes it possible to analyse room usage for better building management and increased operational efficiency. Future use cases can include building automation capabilities, rich security features and capabilities that facilitate life safety management and compliance.
“HID Approve is a game-changer and will transform secure digital transactions, to significantly simplify and empower consumers to better protect their finances, reduce fraud and have peace of mind. Gitex gives us a platform to educate organisations on benefits of the solution that help their customers to be more confident and have more control over who is accessing their confidential and proprietary information,” added Braojos.
