Capital Club Partners with Fine Art Gallery, West Contemporary

Monday 2nd October 2017, Dubai:  The Capital Club, Dubai’s leading private business club, is delighted to announce a new partnership with West Contemporary, a fine art gallery and art consultancy.

West Contemporary, works with a handpicked selection of some of the best contemporary fine artists including Robi Walters, Carne Griffths and Beth Cullen-Kerridge who created a 20ft marble sculpture of The Dhow Sail for Emaar and Dubai Opera. For the Capital Club, West Contemporary will provide works of art to the Club from their roster of artists. The partnership will see the launch of a special art gallery within the Club, as well as commissioned work for bespoke events. 

Robi Walters’ mesmerising, colourful collage work has enthralled many including collectors including Adele, Bono of U2, Michael Buble, Thandie Newton, Stellan Skargard and Major Lazer’s Jillionaire. Currently exhibiting in London, Paris, Miami and Los Angeles, the Capital Club will be his first exhibition in Dubai. Carne Griffths’ will also make his Dubai debut at the Club following solo exhibitions in Brighton, Hong Kong, Milan and Hamburg. Carne works primarily with calligraphy inks, graphite and liquids, such as tea and his illustration work has seen him collaborate with the British photographer Rankin for Hunger magazine as well as featuring in publications worldwide, notably for several covers of the New York Observer.
