Patravi Scubatec SFA Special Edition the Swiss National Colors for Sportswomen
Last Update: Tuesday, May 2, 2017 : 12:22 (+4GMT)
The affinity Carl F. Bucherer has with its roots is reflected in a special partnership: As the first official timekeeper for the Swiss national football teams, the Swiss watchmaking brand is now also launching the official watch for the Swiss national women’s football team at Baselworld 2017. The team qualified to enter the 2017 European Championship in the Netherlands, where they will kick off with a Patravi ScubaTec in their Swiss national colors: red and white.
For the Swiss Football Association (SFA), the women’s 2017 European Championship, for which the SFA team confidently qualified, is undoubtedly a highlight of the season. As official timekeeper, Carl F. Bucherer honors this strong performance with a special model of the Patravi ScubaTec in 36 mm: the Patravi ScubaTec SFA Special Edition. As proud as the Swiss women football players, the sporty timepiece also boasts the Swiss national colors. In addition, the massive steel base of the watch features a stylized football, engraved with the SFA logo as well as the name of each player.
Playful elegance
Carl F. Bucherer has brought the national colors into play on this new model, based on the Patravi ScubaTec White launched last year. The white rubber strap harmonizes with the matching dial in the football look – the SFA association logo appears subtly in the background, while the water resistance of “200 m” is imprinted in fine red typography. The rotating bezel is set in red and white ceramic, and a slim, red ring graces the crown. These delicate accents in red give this sporty model both a typically Swiss as well as a highly elegant appearance.
Technically perfect
Swiss precision is just as important for a successful football team as it is for an excellent timepiece. The precise, reliable time display on the new Patravi ScubaTec SFA Special Edition is ensured by the automatic CFB 1950 movement, distinguished by its superior condition and its capacity to run uninterrupted for over 38 hours without additional energy input.
A tough sport
But it takes more than playful elegance to succeed in football; the players also have to be tough sports at times. That is also true for the new watch of the Swiss women’s national football team. The robust stainless steel housing can resist water pressure to a depth of 200 m, while the crown is protected at the edges from damaging knocks. At the same time, the Patravi ScubaTec SFA Special Edition perfectly complements a feminine wrist with its diameter of 36 mm, making for a fine impression. And that is exactly what the Swiss women’s national football team intends to do in the Netherlands: each player is to receive their own customized timepiece for the European Championship – the model is also available for fans at points of sales in time for the European Championship. Hopp Schwiiz!
