Swiss luxury chocolate-maker to create truffle during two-day event at Boutique Le Chocolat
Dubai, UAE, April 1, 2017: Boutique Le Chocolat has announced the launch of a brand-new special edition Ramadan truffle created exclusively for the homegrown chocolate destination at City Walk as part of a two-day masterclass in partnership with luxury Swiss chocolatier, Du Rhône.
The unique handmade truffle will be created by Du Rhône master chocolatier Jean-Pascal Sérignat live at Boutique Le Chocolat on 29 March 2017 and will be available exclusively at the Boutique Le Chocolat store at City Walk in Dubai from 30 March 2017.
Chocolatier, Sérignat has spent the last 20 years bringing Du Rhône’s world-famous confectionary to life and, in 2016, was invited to test IBM’s Chef Watson programme offering a range of recipes designed by artificial intelligence. During his masterclass in Dubai, he will present live demonstrations and share insights into the techniques that Du Rhône chocolatiers have perfected over its 142-year history.
Du Rhône has created chocolates for the likes of Winston Churchill and J.F. Kennedy among others, as well as for Piaget, Yves Saint Laurent, and Patek Phillipe in Geneva. The Du Rhône tearooms in Geneva are also famous for handmade chocolates and pralines, and the presence of such a distinguished brand at Boutique Le Chocolat reflects a commitment to create a world of indulgence under one roof.
Inspired by the chocolate factories and grand chocolate stores of the 19th century, Boutique Le Chocolat opened in September 2016, and features 28 luxury brands. The 13,000 square foot store is the first and only luxury retail experience based entirely on multi-brand luxury chocolate in the Middle East.
