Dubai, 23rd February, 2017: Boxpark, the offbeat destination by Meraas, is set to be the ultimate foodie haven between 23rd February to 11th March, as it celebrates the fourth edition of Dubai Food Festival with the launch of an Organic Community Market.
A first for Boxpark, the Organic Market will be hosted in partnership with Organic Guild, the people behind the development and growth of the organic goods industry here in the UAE. Boxpark goers can sample and buy locally sourced and all organic produce, from baskets full of fruits and vegetables, beauty products, hand crafted jewelry, as well as the Dubai Crown Prince Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum ‘Fazaa’s’ natural coffee.
In line with the ‘Grow your Food’ campaign, initiated by Dubai municipality’s Food Safety Department, there will also be workshops for the kids to learn how to grow organic produce at home while educating them on the benefits of organic food. The workshops will take place between 2pm to 10pm on weekdays and 10am to 10pm on weekends and children will be given pots to design with different stickers and a plant to seed for a keepsake to take home.
If you needed more of an excuse to head down to Boxpark during DFF, visitors who spend above AED 200 when dining at one of the outlets during the three-week festival will also be in with a chance of winning two tickets and accommodation to the country of the cuisine they dined at.
