Dubai, 18th December 2016: A group of more than 1,000 labourers at the Al Quoz camp were all smiles as Sony Mobile organised a ‘Cinema under the Stars’ experience at their camp in Al Quoz, Dubai. The complete outdoors cinema experience, for labourers that work on various construction projects across the city included T-shirts and mats as giveaways and complimentary snacks and juices.
The outdoor movie screening was much appreciated and the event was a demonstration of Sony Mobile’s growing involvement in social and cultural activities with UAE’s diverse communities.
The labourers at Al Quoz Camp were happy to experience one of the best pastimes that many of us take for granted - going to the movies. Sultan is a popular movie and its screening was eagerly anticipated.
Gita Ghaemmaghami, Regional Marketing Communications Manager Middle East and Africa, said: “We are very pleased to have been able to spread cheer and excitement among the hard working and committed labourers at Al Quoz camp. What better way to be entertained after a hard day’s work than to watch a movie in the company of friends? We are delighted by the response we have received and are happy to give a reason to smiles to some of Dubai’s hard working labourers.”
The Al Quoz labour camp’s movie screening was organized in association with Urban Bedou, the Dubai based events manager.
