Volume of paper, tissues and cardboard consumed in the UAE has reached USD 500 million in 2015

Global participations in 9th Paper Arabia 2017 inaugurated by HH Sheikh Saeed bin Hasher Al Maktoum  

Specialised show to shed light on paper and tissue production and relevant innovative technologies and machineries until tomorrow (Thursday, 15 December)

Dubai, UAE, 15 December 2016:  9th Paper Arabia 2016, the international exhibition for paper, tissue and converting industries organized by Al Fajer Information and Services, was inaugurated today (Wednesday, 14 December) by HH Sheikh Saeed bin Hasher Al Maktoum at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.

Paper Arabia 2016 is a unique platform for buyers, producers and investors working across the paper industry. It has witnessed the participation of a wide group of papers and tissues companies. The exhibition showcased so far latest technology products across different sectors related to paper and tissues. It is providing an opportunity to shed light on innovative machineries and manufacturing equipments and solutions.

The show comes at an important time as the volume of paper, tissues and cardboard consumed in the UAE has reached USD 500 million in 2015. Also, the growth of per capita consumption of tissues in the country stands at 4.7% to reach 420 tons annually. Moreover, the demand for papers and tissues is expected to rise in the run up of Expo 2020, which is expected to attract 25 million visitors to the UAE.
