Capsule Collection GEOX by Patrick Cox Autumn/Winter 2016-2017

Dubai, UAE, November 14, 2016:  An 80's sense of androgyny and strength characterises the new A/W 16 women's shoes in the GEOX collection designed by Patrick Cox. 

These are not shoes for the mild mannered but have a certain retro grittiness and strength needed to survive the mean streets and nightclubs of early 80's New York.

Gleaming chromed buckles and bondage straps impart a punk edge to masculine styled moccasins in shiny black or bold purple polished leathers. The same styles offered in purple leopard print suede have a more playful pop feeling to them.

Pink and turquoise New Wave coloured patchwork fun fur biker boots and buckled sneakers are tough yet fun.

Pointy faux fur trimmed pixie booties and flats have a downtown New York in the 80's vintage feel to them. Offered in black or bronze wrinkly patent, they conjure up images of a pre-fame streetwise Madonna in the cult classic movie- Desperately Seeking Susan.

The studded rubber toecap sneakers also hark back to an early 80s hip-hop New York when Run DMC ruled the airwaves and boom boxes. Industrial zippered sneakers and booties are softened with uppers in purple or black pony skin and pop again with purple leopard print suede.

The “breathing shoe” is thus skilfully infused with an unconventional touch of style and nowness, which brings a captivating and eclectic vibe to GEOX’s extraordinary technology of transpiration, comfort and well-being.
