DIFF's Free Open Air Screenings Return in Partnership With Meraas at the Beach

Eight thrilling nights under the stars filled with movie magic 

Dubai, UAE, 03 November 2016:  The Dubai International Film Festival’s (DIFF) hugely popular Beach Screenings in partnership with Meraas will return as part of the 13th Festival this December. Free for all to attend, the outdoor cinema will be live from THE BEACH- Opposite JBR from December 7 – 14, bringing eight nights of movie magic to the UAE community.

On the opening night of DIFF - December 7 - film enthusiasts at THE BEACH by Meraas will get closer to the action of the Festival with a live viewing of the glitz and glamour of the Red Carpet opening at Madinat Jumeirah. Following the exciting livestream, guests can enjoy a free film screening under the stars. Always popular with film lovers and anyone looking for a new experience in the UAE, entry will be on a first-come, first-served basis.

Our screenings at THE BEACH- Opposite JBR are such an important part of our programme and really bring the community together around a shared appreciation of a good story, well told. This year once again there will be something for everyone as we join to watch some of this year’s greatest films from around the world.”

The outdoor beach venue at the destination will treat film fans to a unique cinematic experience where the exciting buzz of Dubai’s urban waterfront promenade, packed with stylish shops and a plethora of delightful restaurants - meets the tranquil Arabian Sea. An awe-inspiring environment for both local residents and international visitors, the giant DIFF screen will be set up on the sand at the heart of THE BEACH- Opposite JBR perfect for creating a sociable and relaxed atmosphere to unite the community under the stars for eight magical evenings of cinema.
