Top Teams to Compete at the Sixth Samsung Beach Soccer Intercontinental Cup

Fan zone to have state-of-the-art Samsung SUHD TVs with a host of entertainment options
Dubai, UAE, October 31, 2016: The sixth edition of the Samsung Beach Soccer Intercontinental Cup Dubai will see top national sides from around the world come together. The event will take place at the Dubai International Marine Club, between 1st November – 5th November 2016.
Speaking of Samsung’s title sponsorship of the event, Marco Vocale, Chief Marketing Officer, Samsung Gulf Electronics said, “Sport, especially football, is an integral part of the social fabric in the region, reflecting the multitude of cultures that have come to call it their home. Samsung is celebrating this connection along with timeless ideals such as sportsmanship and integrity with the tournament.”
Visitors will be able to sample a variety of games and entertainment content on the latest 2016 SUHD TVs as part of the Samsung fan zone at the event. Samsung’s 2016 range of SUHD TVs offer unparalleled picture quality, featuring Quantum dot displays, the world’s first bezel-less curved design and the smartest user interface to deliver a state-of-the-art hub for entertainment content. The SUHD TVs deliver the optimum viewing experience, with the 1,000 nit high dynamic range (HDR) offering an extraordinary level of contrast between light and dark images. The Ultra Black technology reduces light reflection, further enhancing picture quality with minimal glare.
Admittance to the matches will be free for the general public. Group A will have UAE, Tahiti, Brazil and Poland, while Group B will have Russia, USA, Egypt and Iran. The Beach Soccer Stars Night will take place on 5th November, the final night, with players and officials from across the globe attending. Federations will choose winners of the Best Player, Best Goalkeeper, Best Coach and Best 5, while the Goal of the Year prize will be also be handed out. Other prizes, such as the Best Event of the Year, or the Rising Star, will also be unveiled.
