Visitors will have a chance to experience a virtual tour of Dubai through a VR simulator using the Gear VR, taking them through familiar landmarks of the city. Segments of the VR film will also take guests through varied experiences including the Arabian desert, the Dubai Metro and smart city concepts, in addition to covering Samsung solutions such as Samsung Pay and wearables such as the Gear S3.
Customers will gain an understanding of how Samsung Pay works in terms of its simplicity, security and universal acceptance. Tickets to the VR experience will also be sold through a demonstration of the Samsung Pay application.
Mohammad Gharaibeh, Head of B2B for IM at Samsung Gulf Electronics said, “In today's increasingly competitive business environment, Samsung is empowering businesses not just with technology but also with insights. Samsung prides itself on providing end-to-end solutions that are at the forefront of innovation and technology and are the same time secure at the core. Through the various experiences at the event, we are giving enterprises and professionals the most productive and secure mobility solutions available on the market.”
Business applications of the Gear S2 and Gear S3 in facilities management will be another highlight of the stand. These can be used on the wearables themselves and also in conjunction with the Galaxy S7 or TabPro S, the smartwatches can be used to manage and schedule tasks, keep track of stock and personnel, manage logistics, among other day to day tasks. The Gear S3 will be available at retail locations in the UAE later this year.
Samsung's defense grade platform Samsung KNOX will also have a presence at the pavilion. Gartner recently gave Samsung KNOX the most “strong” ratings of any platform for Corporate Managed Security. Samsung KNOX is also the only platform with “strong” ratings for every security control listed in the Corporate Managed Security category according to the report. For organizations which need even more control over the management and security aspects of their corporate mobile devices, Samsung offers the Knox Workspace. Samsung Knox Workspace provides the most comprehensive set of security and management capabilities possible on a mobile device. It has received more government security accreditations and industry awards than any other solution on the market.
Visitors will also be able to sample spaces that showcase smart solutions within retail, office and the home environments will also be on display at the pavilion that is located at Zabeel Hall - Z-F42. Customers can trial Samsung Pay at The Hub and Trader House restaurants at DWTC through a partnership with Mashreq credit cards.
