Scarce resources can be better managed with intelligent technologies : Schneider Electric

• Company marks fifth consecutive participation at WETEX 2016

Dubai, UAE, October 13, 2016:  Schneider Electric, a global leader in energy management and automation, showcased its smart technologies for industrial efficiency and sustainability at the 18th edition of the Water, Energy, Technology and Environment Exhibition (WETEX). This year marked Schneider Electric’s fifth consecutive participation at WETEX, reaffirming the global energy leader’s commitment to delivering competitive and customized solutions for the region’s growing customer base.

Schneider Electric’s suite of solutions are reputed for their unique integratation of advanced Information Technology (IT) with Operational technology (OT). Among those presented in Hall 8 (Innovation Hall) of the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre included the Modicon MC80 for concentrated solar power applications, cyber-secure substation automation, smart panel, telemetry for remote field management, the Advanced Distribution Management System (ADMS) that integrates grid management solutions and the Process Expert System (PES) software for enhanced plant performance. 

As part of the company’s participation, Bruno Dercle, Vice President - Energy Commercial at Schneider Electric led a seminar on ‘How to build smart electric utilities of tomorrow’.

Organized under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Minister of Finance, President of DEWA, WETEX has recorded impressive year-on-year growth with the local participation showing an eight percent increase in this edition. WETEX 2016 was hosted in conjunction with the World Green Economy Summit, which aimed to reinforce Dubai's position as a global centre for green economy and sustainability.
