Doha 2016: Mapei Main Sponsor of the World Cycling Championships

Dubai, UAE, September 19, 2016:   From 9 to 16 October, the State of Qatar will host the Road World Championships organized by the Union Cycliste Internationale - UCI. Doha will welcome around 1,000 racers from 75 countries and more than 5,700 participants from national federations, delegations, technicians and journalists, in addition to around 30,000 aficionados and millions of spectators all over the world. 

Mapei, worldwide leader in the manufacturing of adhesives, sealants and chemical products for building, will be there to renew its long-standing relationship as UCI’s MAIN SPONSOR.  The event is a nine-day competition that pits top-class cyclists against each other in individual time trials, team time trials and road races, divided by category.

Mapei has historically been one of the main sponsors of cycling sports, and has been sponsoring UCI Road World Championships for several editions now (Richmond 2015, Ponferrada 2014, Tuscany 2013, Limburg 2012, Copenhagen 2011, Melbourne 2010, Mendrisio 2009, Varese 2008).
