DHA Director-General emphasizes on the importance of developing health regulations to keep up with growth of the private health sector.

Dubai, United Arab Emirates, September 18, 2016: His Excellency Humaid Al Qatami, Chairman of the Board and Director-General of the Dubai Health Authority, highlighted the need to continue to develop regulations to keep up with the growth of the private health sector in Dubai.
Al Qatami discussed this during his inspectional tour of the DHA’s Health Regulation Department.
Al Qatami was received by Dr Layla Al Marzouqi, Director of the Health Regulation Department, who provided an overview of the services of the department and its achievements.
The department is responsible for setting medical regulations for the health sector in Dubai except for Dubai Healthcare City( DHCC.)
Al Qatami highlighted the Dubai is a favored destination for health investment and the Authority is keen to continue to provide ease of business and to develop and update existing facility and healthcare regulations to ensure provision of high quality health services in the Emirate.
He also emphasized on the importance of working closely with the private health sector and the government sector in the Emirate to ensure growth and development of the health sector.
The DHA’s health regulation department is responsible for issuance and renewal of facility and healthcare professional license and for setting for health regulations in the Emirate except for Dubai Healthcare City.
