Dubai, UAE, September 18, 2016:   Al Wahda Mall(AWM), an Iconic landmark & favorite shopping destination located in the heart of Abu Dhabi city announces its annual sports event - Al Wahda Mall Premier League to offer more than just a shopping experience to its visitors.  With an intention to encourage healthy sports culture, Al Wahda Mall is hosting a Badminton and Table Tennis tournament for the mall goers. 

Hosted from August 24 to September 5, the registration for the tournament will be made available onsite from August 21 – 23. The sports tournament is an initiative by AWM to provide to the residents and expats from AUH with a novel and unique experience of visiting a mall.

Spread across Lobby 1 and Lobby 2 in the basement of the new extension at Al Wahda Mall, the Sports Lounge provides to its visitors with options to choose from Badminton, Table-Tennis, Cricket or from Billiards & new age games like PS4 Digital to refresh from a stressed day at work, take some time out while shopping or simply keep up at their sporting activities. The Sports Lounge annually hosts events to inculcate not only a healthy community culture in the region but also to encourage different kinds of sports. With such initiatives, Al Wahda Mall gives more emphasis on sports to reflect a healthy mind and body.  At regular intervals, AWM introduces innovative campaigns to promote the dynamic sport talents that is prevalent in the region.

The tournament will also be supported by Affiliation of Dynamic Table Tennis Athletes (ADTTA). Registration Fee of AED 25 will be applicable per sport tournament. Winners will receive trophies and certificates and can also take-away gift vouchers worth AED 20,000.
