Magnificent production numbers wowed global audience
Dubai, UAE, September 17, 2016: Filmmaster, a market leader in events and content creation, has successfully staged an astounding opening ceremony for this year’s amazing 2016 Paralympic Games, which runs from 7-18 September 2016 at the Maracana Stadium in Brazil. The company will also stage a spectacular closing ceremony for the event in a carnival-like atmosphere.
Piero Cozzi, Filmmaster MEA, Chairman, said, “We are truly proud to be part of this immense event and to showcase a spectacular show bringing to life the theme of the Ceremony which is “Every Body Has A Heart”. Our production numbers visually reflected the human condition, feelings, difficulties, solidarity and love. To all the teams involved we are honored to work with all of you and to our partner SRCOM, with their full support, our heartfelt thanks.“
At the Opening Ceremony there was an audible gasp in the 78,000-seat stadium as someone in a wheelchair propelled themselves down a six-storey high ramp and through a hoop. There was also a live creation of a work of art by Muniz. Taking place during the athletes’ parade, the piece of art used 500 plates, which were carried by the different delegations to form a gigantic mosaic, whose design remains a secret.
More than 4300 athletes from 159 nations, and two refugees in an independent team, are performing to the peak of their physical capabilities and changing perceptions of what is possible when you set your mind on it. It is the biggest Paralympics yet - in terms of athletes participating - and the greatest performances are expected to unfold.
