New product offering and enhanced service approach combine to transform UAE customers’ experience
Dubai, UAE, August 31, 2016: Al Ain Ahlia Insurance Company PSC, one of the region’s largest insurers, and Aetna Global Benefits (ME) LLC, have entered into a strategic partnership to offer clients the best standards and worldwide healthcare accessibility.
As part of the agreement Aetna will be assigned as administrator of plans within the UAE, while Al Ain Ahlia will provide its partners’ customers with two new global healthcare products: Pioneer Dubai ℠ for individuals and families, and Summit Dubai℠ for group clients.
“The design of new product suite has a central focus on members’ needs. Pioneer Dubai and Summit Dubai combine flexible product features with our deep clinical expertise and personalized service to offer a superior experience for our members wherever they are in the world,” Said Mr. Mohammed Mazhar Hamadeh General Manager of Al Ain Ahlia.
Pioneer℠ and Summit℠ plans provide full cover for inpatient treatment, cancer care and emergency medical evacuation as standard. Higher-level Pioneer/Summit 5000 plans offer further benefits including management of chronic conditions, compassionate visits by family members, dental, vision and outpatient paid in full.
The plans also allow selection of optional benefits and add-on plans, choice of healthcare provider network, area of cover options, and voluntary cost sharing solutions to meet the specific needs of individuals and businesses, no matter where employees are based. Both products give the freedom to tailor cover to needs and budget.
In-line with the findings of a recent Moody’s report titled ‘GCC insurance industry: Growing economy will drive further market growth over the next two years’, Mr. Mohammed Mazhar Hamadeh from Al Ain Ahlia believes the strategic partnership with Aetna International will allow both firms to capitalize on the sector’s continued growth.
“Al Ain Ahlia and Aetna International both strive to provide outstanding healthcare services to our clients in the region’s relatively small yet growing healthcare market,” said Mr. Mohammed Mazhar Hamadeh. “This collaboration will allow us to leverage the support of regional governments implementing compulsory healthcare insurance schemes for all citizens and residents.”
“We consider the UAE as our regional operations hub and our partnership with Al Ain Ahlia represents a major step forward in our growth plan,” said Hisham Radwan Vice President and General Manager of Aetna in the Middle East and Africa.
As part of the partnership, Al Ain Ahlia customers will be able to tap into an Aetna International’s medical network of over 1 million providers in the USA and 165,000 throughout the rest of the world*. Depending on plan type and level, Aetna International members can access a range of benefits created to support their personal health and wellness goals including:
- A scale of Healthy Behaviours premium discounts of up to 25% for individuals with a track record of healthy living and behaviour
- Country risk information and personal safety protection from specialist crisis management company, red24
- Support from Aetna’s Care and Response Excellence (CARE) team to assist members with everything from pre-authorizations and evacuation management to hospital navigation and condition management programmes for cancer and diabetes
