HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of DEWA discusses Dubai Future Accelerators

“We greatly appreciate HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai for his investment of AED 1 billion in projects and companies taking part in Dubai Future Accelerators. This ambitious international programme was launched to facilitate advanced Research and Development (R&D), and entrepreneurship among some of the UAE’s most important sectors. On this occasion, I would like to quote HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, who once said, ‘Shaping the future and making it, is no longer a theoretical concept, but a key factor for countries to achieve competitiveness in the global arena,’” said HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA). 

“This supports HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum’s announcement of the Dubai Future Foundation, and the Dubai Future Agenda, to predict and shape the future of strategic sectors in Dubai, and in the UAE as a whole. DEWA also makes use of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) to assist in the energy and water sectors. This supports our strategic vision among several sectors, including smart electricity and water networks.
