Liberty Automobiles launches full range of Foton vehicles in UAE

Range includes light, medium and heavy trucks, pickups, buses and 4x4; Liberty anticipates 200% sales growth in 2016

Dubai, June 5, 2016:   Foton, the world’s biggest manufacturer of commercial vehicles, has extended its relationship with Liberty Automobiles Company by appointing it the exclusive dealer for its entire range of vehicles. For the past two years, Liberty has been Foton dealer for only commercial vehicles.

Foton, which has a partnership with Daimler in manufacturing trucks and with Cummins engine, is eyeing a larger share of the UAE market through this expanded partnership with Liberty Automobiles.

The enhanced partnership was celebrated at a customer event held in Dubai.

Our showrooms will be one-stop shops for Foton vehicles and components. Currently, Foton vehicles will be available in Dubai Sharjah and Fujairah showrooms, but we have plans in place to expand the Foton range to Ras Al Khaimah soon, to be followed by Abu Dhabi. We are anticipating 200% sales growth in 2016, and double the number in 2017.”
 
The Foton range at Liberty showrooms will include: light ,medium and heavy duty trucks, with all types of applications such as dry bodies, chillers, freezers, recovery bodies and dump trucks, as well as concrete pumps & mixers,  1 ton pickups in single and double cabs, 4x2  and 4x4  in petrol & diesel engines (TUNLAND), Delivery (cargo) vans), 14 and 15 seater micro buses in standard and high roof design with petrol & diesel engines (VIEW), luxury 15-seater mini buses (Toano), and high quality staff, school, labour transport & luxury coaches, in addition to city transport buses.

The Foton-Daimler factory in China, which is a 50-50 partnership between Beiqi Foton and Daimler, is one of the first international model plants for trucks, with an annual capacity of over 200,000 vehicles.
