Al Maya welcomes the new Thai Consul General to its latest Supermarket at Muraqqabat.

Dubai, UAE, May 21, 2016:  Mr Kamal Vachani, Group Director, Al Maya Group welcomed H.E. Mr Komate Kamalanavin, who has taken over as Ambassador of Thailand in the U.A.E. to wish him all the best for taking over as Ambassador of Thailand.  Mr Kamal Vachani introduced Al Maya Group and its activities to H.E.  Mr Kamal Vachani invited H.E. Mr Komate Kamalanavin to visit Al Maya Supermarkets.

H.E Mr Unnop Buranasate who has taken over as Consul General of Thailand in Dubai visited the Al Maya Group’s Supermarket at Muraqabat, Deira.   Mr Kamal Vachani, Group Director, Al Maya Group welcomed  Thai Consul General to its latest Supermarket at Muraqqabat.  

The visit of new Consul General was fruitful, informed Mr Kamal Vachani. The Consul General appreciated the Groups role in promoting Thai food products in the UAE.   Mr Kamal Vachani said we at Al Maya import a large number of FMCG goods from Thailand.  The visit of Consul General has coincided with “Thaifex - World of Food Asia 2016”, which is largest yearly food exhibition in Thailand, informed  Mr Kamal Vachani.  Al Maya Group is representing Thaifex this year and a large delegation from Al Maya Group will be participating in Thaifex, said Mr Kamal Vachani. 

Al Maya Group, the UAE-based business conglomerate, has more than 40 supermarkets in the GCC countries in addition to other businesses.

Mr. Kamal Vachani thanked his Excellency for visiting Al Maya Supermarket, and assured him full support from Al Maya Group for importing more and more FMCG goods from Thailand.
