FMS Tech’s new Journey Management System software and the 360 series of hardware devices help drivers and fleet managers plan journeys ahead of time and reduce costs
Dubai, United Arab Emirates, 27 April, 2016: FMS Tech, a global telematics system provider, simplifies the way fleet managers monitor and manage their fleets with its new Journey Management System (JMS). JMS acts like a software consultant; it helps with managing and improving fleets according to each company’s needs as it covers Data Intelligence, Communications, weather forecast, and reduce road risks and improve safety and emergency response. This comes hand in hand with the launching of the new FMS 360 (Track and Trace), a small and powerful telematics and IVMS devices designed for all light and heavy vehicles and fleet operations and needs.
“FMS Tech Journey Management is the ultimate of In-Vehicle Management Systems (IVMS). It uses IVMS as a tool for retrieving accurate information while automating procedures before and after each trip. It connects with weather sources to reduce risks caused by bad weather conditions, as well as integrating with the client transport booking system and human resource / ERP”, said Bassam AlKassar, CEO of FMS Tech.
The FMS Track 360 and FMS Trace 360 are based on the revolutionary 360 platform that enables users to have complete 360 view of vehicle telematics, vehicle location, route information (for both online and offline modes), and driving habits. These devices operate on FMS Tech’s Journey Management System which helps with: planning a trip ahead of time, reducing road risks, enhancing emergency response, improving alertness, minimizing costs, improving route planning and execution, and getting better control of the trip overall. These and many more can be expanded to cover:
- Managing expenses such as: fuel cost, vehicle maintenance costs, time, and Salik (will be available soon).
- Planning in advance and managing risks: evaluate weather conditions, road accidents, trip information, vehicle maintenance and information.
- Real time journey plan follow up and overview: monitor the driver’s overall performance and fatigue and check in real time if he is respecting the trip; the software will automatically calculate a better road or organize the next day’s schedule to make up for the delay if any.
- With complex operations like drilling, well engineering and construction of pipe lines, journey plans can prevent risks involved in transporting passengers and goods in suburban areas, deserts, cities, from camps to worksite, rigs to warehouse, etc. It is imperative for oil and gas companies to automate Journey Management and simplify the planning tools as simple as possible for engineers in the fields to use without having to worry about complexity or time. Having the journey planned should be as essential as carrying the vehicle’s keys.
“FMS Tech realizes the importance of making Journey Planning as simple as possible with the right features and information to make it easy to use and make it adoptable by small(SMEs) to big companies alike, whether their operations are simple or complex”, added Al Kassar. “FMS Tech’s Journey Planning can be initiated from the driver’s smart phone, tablet, or the vehicle’s Mobile Data Terminal (MDT). This feature makes it easier for everyone to use and reduce the required number of operators in the main control room”.
