April 25, 2016– The Royal Opera House Muscat (ROHM), Oman's leading arts and culture organization, have revealed that a large number of its patrons have expressed an appreciation for diversity in arts and culture and have even shown interest in wanting to experience a wider range of genres. The positive response consolidates ROHM's aim to position itself as a premier venue for musical arts and culture while also highlighting Oman's rich cultural heritage and artistic engagement towards a wider global audience. In line with this, ROHM is participating at the 2016 edition of the Arabian Travel Market (ATM 2016), the market leading, international travel and tourism event for inbound and outbound tourism professionals in the Middle East region, which starts today (April 25, 2016) and will run till April 28, 2016 at the Dubai International Exhibition and Convention Centre (DICEC).

According to ROHM's senior officials, the opera house has reported strong activity for 2016 as many private companies, organizations and even government entities have already finalized arrangements for the rental of space at ROHM as venues for their events, which includes receptions, mini-concerts, dinner galas and the like. Wanting to offer more services and facilities, ROHM's management have already drawn up plans to include arrangements to rent space for the launch of luxury car brands, along with various events and conferences from different sectors. To date, spaces available for rent at ROHM include the 6th Floor Terrace, the South Porch Reception area, the South Maidan, the Garden Terrace, the Staircase Rotonda, ROHM's Multi-Purpose Room and the Garden Lawns.

“We are very pleased at the overwhelming response that the Royal Opera House Muscat has received from its patrons—expressing their desire to experience different genres of art, music, theater, etc, which not only reinforces our position as a leading venue for musical arts and culture but also reflects Oman's appreciation for diversity. As such, the Royal Opera House Muscat has already entered into many arrangements to act as the official venue for cultural events and activities that are organized by both public and private groups. Because of the growing preference towards ROHM as a premier venue for these kind of events, we are looking towards expanding and improving the facility to give way to more diverse activities,” concluded Umberto Fanni, Director General, ROHM.
