Dubai Studio City wins prestigious Studio of the Year award

DSC awarded title at the Digital Studio Awards 2016

Dubai, UAE - 12  March 2016: Dubai Studio City (DSC), a vibrant broadcasting, content creation and production community, has been named Studio of the Year at the Digital Studio Awards 2016.

DSC was recognised for the premium quality of its three state-of-the-art Sound Stages, the largest in the region at 15,000 sq. ft. and two 25,000 sq. ft. each in size, that are home to facilities not matched anywhere else in the region. The studios provide world-class Sound Stages, as well as production offices, back of house, workshops, backlot and more to production companies from around the world, and its unique offerings also include the largest green screen facilities in the region, as well as indoor water tanks for filming.

Over the past few years, the studios have played host to a number of large scale productions, which have set DSC and Dubai apart as the region’s leading production hub. These include Star Trek Beyond, who filmed scenes within the studios towards the end of 2015, Master Chef Arabia – the largest global set to date – The Cube and El Beit. A wide spectrum of innovative content has been created within the Sound Stages, and the studios continue to pioneer the development and growth of the UAE’s production industry.
