A conversation with Jake Gyllenhaal at the Dubai International Film Festival

Dubai, December 14, 2015: The Dubai International Film Festival’s ‘In Conversation’ event will be with Jake Gyllenhaal. The Oscar nominee and BAFTA winner will be presented with Variety‘s ‘International Star of the Year’ Award for an outstanding year of cinematic success, that has solidified his reputation as one of the finest actors of his generation.

Jake Gyllenhaal will take to the stage on Wednesday, December 16th at 6pm in the Souk Madinat Jumeirah Theatre. The unmissable event will offer DIFF’s audiences an insight into his life, the industry and his incredible filmography and will also include a Q & A opportunity for audience members. 

Film fans will get an insight into the actors career from his breakthrough role in Richard Kelly’s ‘Donnie Darko’ and over a decade of commercial and critically acclaimed successes including; Sam Mendes’ ‘Jarhead’ (2005), his BAFTA winning performance in Ang Lee’s ‘Brokeback Mountain’ (2005), David Fincher’s ‘Zodiac’ (2007), Jim Sheridan’s ‘Brothers’ (2009), Duncan Jones’ ‘Source Code’ (2011), Denis Villeneuve’s ‘Prisoners’ (2013), Dan Gilroy’s ‘Nightcrawler’ (2014), Antoine Fuqua’s ‘Southpaw’ (2015), Baltasar Kormákur’s ‘Everest’ (2015) and most recently Jean-Marc Vallee’s ‘Demolition’ (2016).
