Dubai, U.A.E, 25 November 2015: duApp now offers an Appointment Booking service to reduce waiting times for customers visiting du stores. New functionality on duApp allows customers to book appointments up to two hours before visiting a du store and ensure they’re next to be seen on arrival.
Carlos Domingo, Senior Executive Officer, New Businesses & Innovation, du, said: “We want to set new standards of convenience for customers. In many cases, duApp has replaced the need for customers to travel to our stores but when they do need to see us, it can help there too.”
The du App will allow customers to minimise waiting time in stores by choosing an hour slot at a time and store most convenient to them. Appointments can be booked by personal and business customers via the duApp, which generates a code to be input into the machine as they enter the store – after doing so they will automatically be next to be seen.
Carlos added: “Whether we’re building Smart Cities, or helping customers pay bills, we must exploit the best that technology has to offer for a smarter way of doing things. Our digital services should always be about putting control in the hands of our customers and making their lives easier.”
A set amount of appointments are made available on the duApp for each hour the store is open, ensuring those walking into the store without using the App are still seen in a reasonable amount of time. If a particular store if busy, the duApp will highlight availability in other outlets nearby. In line with other convenient functionalities of du App, such as paying bills, the appointment booking process is designed with simplicity in mind, taking only a minute to complete.
Appointments are allocated on a first come, first served basis for any type of in-store request at du outlets nationwide.
