MEVEG to introduce its seven-spectrum eclectic talks at the upcoming MEVEG Congress 2015

Dubai, United Arab Emirates, 31 October, 2015: MEVEG Congress, an annual holistic conference that aims to spread a wealth of knowledge about plant-based foods to aid healthy living hosted by MEVEG, introduces a seven-hour eclectic session of workshops, seminars and keynotes on the year’s theme, ‘Nourish to Flourish’. 

MEVEG, known also as the Middle East Vegetarian Group, has helped to change the face of vegetarianism in the region with its annual Congress for vegetarians and vegans looking for organic diet options. The body behind MEVEG believes that with time the demand for vegetarian options has increased in the region, making the available food more vegetarian-friendly. A need for locally produced, less processed and heightened nutritional value products has been created by the rise of vegan, paleo and vegetarian diets.

Sandhya Prakash, founder of MEVEG says, “The only challenge if any for vegetarians in the region is variety and the chef’s creativity when it comes to dishing out vegan food. They are limited to working with few vegetables and sauces. If they are given the freedom to experiment and if they are exposed to the zillion options available, this can change. The MEVEG Congress 2015 introduces a spectrum-segment revolving around the number seven. To be held on 4th November, the conference pays ode to the activation of the seven chakras –being the crown, the third eye, the throat, the heart, the solar plexus, the sacral and the root –through all the senses, taste, sounds, feel, smells through essential oils and visual as in colors of the spectrum.
