ALMANSOORI scoops prestigious Oil and Gas Middle East Award 2015

AlMansoori Specialized Engineering, the leading Middle East oilfield services provider, has scooped the HSE Initiative of the Year award at the prestigious Oil and Gas Middle East awards. The announcement was made at a ceremony held in Abu Dhabi on 7 October.

The company was also highly commended in the Oilfield Services Company of the Year category.

AlMansoori won the HSE Initiative of the Year award for its continued work to educate and support its workforce on healthy living. The leading global causes of death are cancer, diabetes and heart disease which are occurring at alarming rates in the UAE.  AlMansoori’s aim is to help its employees reduce these diseases by improving their health and encouraging them to practice prevention. 

The company has implemented an innovative approach to health through its flagship program Health Monitoring Management System (HMMS).  The system is designed to evaluate and classify the health of every employee, as well as promote wellbeing and disease prevention.  Employees are offered a consultation with a doctor to evaluate their health, diet, and lifestyle.  

Through its HMMS AlMansoori has seen:

• 5% decrease in the number of employees who smoke
• 19% decrease in high blood pressure
• 40% decrease in high cholesterol
• 2% decrease in diabetes rates
• 57% decrease in cholesterol levels
• 34% of employees reduce their weight
• 35% improving their blood sugar levels.
