The 3rd Annual 500px Global Photo Walk Sponsored by Fujifilm - A Grand Success!

Over 1300 avid photographers attended the photo walk across the UAE

Dubai, United Arab Emirates - 08 October 2015: FUJIFILM Middle East, a subsidiary company of FUJIFILM Corporation, recently concluded the Global Photo Walk in partnership with 500 px with an overwhelming turnout of more than 1300 photographers from across the UAE.

“We were excited to see the outcome of this photo walk in the UAE. Seeing such a positive response, we plan to organize similar photo walks in the near future to support enthusiastic photographers in the region. Also, we would like to thank 500 px and all the photographers who participated in the photo walk for their extensive support”, commented Yuta Kawamura, marketing manager, FUJIFILM Middle East & Africa, electronic imaging division.

More than 1,300 photographers from UAE took part in the photo walk, from across the geographies including Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Ras Al Khaimah, with the maximum turnout from Dubai.

The 500px Fujifilm Global Photo Walk is an annual worldwide event where thousands of photographers come together on the same day to celebrate their local communities through their love for photography. Beautiful photos and experiences had during the photo walks are shared, enjoyed, and discussed on 500px.

The photo walk in UAE has set records for the highest and best organized photo walk in the region of Middle East And Africa. Representatives from the premier photography community, 500 px, also participated in the walk to encourage professional and budding photographers in the region.

As part of its sponsorship, Fujifilm provided several FUJIFILM X-Series cameras and FUJINON XF lenses to the photographers that were used throughout the event. Additionally, Fujifilm Middle East & Africa is hosting a competition with three different categories on the digital platform to encourage the photographers who participated in the photo walk, with the categories being: Best Fujifilm Entry, X-Series in Action and Best Picture. Winners will be awarded with the latest Fujifilm products.
