Consul General of Philippines visits Al Maya Supermarket

Dubai – July 7, 2015: H.E Mr PAUL RAYMUND P. CORTES who has taken over as Consul General of Philippines in Dubai recently visited the Al Maya Group’s Supermarket at Murooj Complex in Dubai on Monday and appreciated the Group’s role in promoting Philippine food products in the UAE.

Al Maya Group Director, Mr. Kamal Vachani, informed the Consul General about the variety of products available from the Philippines at the Al Maya Supermarkets.  Al Maya Group imports a large number of FMCG products from the Philippines, informed Mr Kamal Vachani.

While discussing with the Consul General for trade promotion activities for Philippine products, Mr Kamal Vachani mentioned that Al Maya Group is keen to expand its products portfolio from the Philippines.  They also discussed ways to further enhance trade between Philippines FMCG companies and Al Maya Group.
Al Maya Group, the UAE-based business conglomerate, has more than 40 supermarkets in the GCC countries in addition to other businesses.

Mr. Kamal Vachani thanks his Excellency for visiting Al Maya Supermarket, and assured him full support from Al Maya Group for importing more and more FMCG goods from the Philippines.
