On stage, Gabrielle Chanel (Ekaterina Varnava) meets her opposite in Ida Rubinstein (Svetlana Ustinova), the magnetic star of the Russian Seasons, while grand duke Dmitry Romanov (Dmitry Kondrashov) stands between them. The play explores how love becomes a fight, jealousy turns to music and pain transforms into art, from the creation of Chanel’s immortal fragrance to the birth of Ravel’s Bolero.
