In collaboration with Dubai Health Authority - Aswaaq launches ‘Green Heart' campaign to spread benefits of quitting smoking

Dubai, UAE: 01 June 2015: Intensifying efforts to encourage smokers to switch to a healthier lifestyle, Aswaaq has collaborated with Dubai Health Authorityand Bin Sina Pharmacy to launch the Green Heart campaign, which will run until June 3rd to mark the World No Tobacco Day.
Hind Al Falasi, Brand & Communications Manager at Aswaaq elaborated: “Having a healthy business is only part of the story; we are inspiring a healthier community and a healthier city. The sooner smokers quit and switch to a healthierlifestyle, the sooner they can start enjoying the health benefits, while also benefiting their loved ones around them. This is the main message of our campaign, working in sync with Dubai Health Authority and Bin Sina Pharmacy.”
Al Falasi also explained that this collaborationwill create great platforms to raise awareness in Aswaaq community malls in Um Suqaim, Al Warqaa, Al Mizhar and Al Badaa, whereawareness teams are spreading the word about the dangers of smoking.
Aswaaq will also organize a smart tablet survey to show smokers in a powerful and unique way how smoking affects their lives. The survey is conducted in the presence of a health specialist from DHA, who explains how quitting smoking early will have a tremendous impact ontheir health.
DrSawsan Al Mulla, dermatology specialist at Dubai Health Authority, also participated by giving a lecture to Aswaaq employees, addressing the risksof smoking and the best ways to quit.
Al Falasi added: “As part of our corporate social responsibility, Aswaaq is dedicating itselfto support activities that promote positive values and uplift our community’s well-being.”
Since its inception in 2008, Aswaaq has refused to sell cigarettes at any of its outlets.
