Dubai, UAE:3rd February 2015: As El Beitshow approaches its final Episode, aired at 9pm on Monday, February 2nd 2015 the 12th Episode saw a huge number of participants. Organized and produced by Hamdan bin Mohammed Heritage Center, and filmed at Dubai Studio City, the show brings together exceptional talents in Nabaty poetry. Only the best were selected in the semi-final episode to embark to the Grand Finale episode next week,wereonly one winner in each competition category will be eligible to win AED 1000,000.

Audience competition

The show's host,Barakat Al Wagyanannounced the launch of the Audience Voting Competition, where viewers will choose their favorite chater or Nabd Al Sourasubmission of the season.

Fatma Al Bannay, Media Office Manager at Hamdan bin Mohammed Heritage Center said:“This competition is unique and our audiences are the most core component for our success, as seen by their overwhelming daily and weekly participation on social media.  Secondly, we are expressing our appreciation to the audiences and prompting them to be part of the show.”

Al Bannay added: “The viewers' competitionis worth a total of AED 200,000, to be divided between two winners (AED 100,000 each): one from the chater category, and the other from the ‘Nabd Al Soura' Imagery Pulse category.A drawwill be held during the final episode next week to choose the winners.”
Audiencescanonly participate via Twitter, afterregistering on www.elbeit.ae/vote.They will then vote for their favorite poem or poet from each of the two categories.

Photos and names of the winners will be posted for each category. Viewerscan only vote once for thechaterorNabd Al Souracategory. The website is in both English and Arabic.


Guest of honor and chater competition winners

This week's guest of honorwas thewell-known veteran poet Mr Abdullah Bin Oun. Heawarded the winning chater to Saeed Al Qurni, while the judges selectedNayef Al Rashidi, who also qualifies for the Grand Finale episode next week. Both winners earned AED 100,000 each.

Imagery pulse competition winner

The Golden Screen showcased the top imagery poets from the previous episode, three of whomwereselected by the jury members. Yasser Al Kalthamearned third place while Bader Al Faydi earnedsecond place.Both earned AED 50,000 each, but will not be eligible to participate in the final episode next week. First place went toAli Al Muethi,who won AED 100,000 and will competein the Grand Finale episode next week.

Poetry, society, culture and knowledge

Mr Abdullah Hamdan bin Dalmouk, CEO of the Hamdan bin Mohammed Heritage Center pointed out: “Nabati poetry maintains its cultural relevance in the modern society of the UAE and the Arab world. Itis a creative way of entertaining, inspiring and preserving our culture.”

Mr Majid Abdul Rahman Al Bastaki, the show's General Coordinator added: “All the submitted chaters were unique in their own way - from theirsymbolic meanings, rhythmic flow and relevance.”

Al Bastaki added: “This episode focused on remembering our great Arab leaders and visionaries, whose actions inspired us throughout the generations”.

Media delegations from KSAand Bahrain

Media delegates from KSA and Bahrain paid a special visit to the studio andembarked on abehind-the-scenes tour, where they also met and interviewed various members of the show's team.

The judging panels consist of renowned pioneers of contemporary poetry in the UAE and the Gulf. Verses Panel: Nayef Al-Rashidi, Kuwait; Madgham Bu Chaiba, Saudi Arabia; Zayed bin Krouz, Qatar; Mohammed Al-MurrBalabd Al Muhairi, UAE.Picture Panel: Hamad Al Kharusi, Oman; Saad bin Hindi, Kuwait; AwadhKhalifa Bin Hassoum Al Darmaki, UAE. Division Panel: Mutalq bin Shuwyeh, Saudi Arabia; Mohammed Al Khalaf, Bahrain; Jamal Al Shaqsi, UAE; Hadi Al Hajri, UAE; Nasser Al Hajri, Kuwait; Mueeth Al Otaibi, Saudi Arabia.

The show is hosted by Barakat Al Wagyan and the co-host for the second season is a. Joining the co-hosts is Omani poet Hilala Al Hamdani.
