Kamal Al Aroudaky Spins his Way to Victory at the PHILIPS M1X DJs Event

Philips Sound of Arabia proudly announces its new brand ambassador following the final battle of its regional DJs competition in at the iKandy Lounge in Dubai

Dubai, United Arab Emirates, February 3, 2015: Kamal Al Aroudaky became the first official brand ambassador for Philips Sound of Arabia after winning a challenging final battle at the PHILIPS M1X DJs competition. The final head-to-head showdown was hosted and organized by Philips Sound of Arabia at iKandy Lounge, Shangri-La Hotel, Dubai on Wednesday 28th January 2015. The musical showdown included three finalist DJs who spun their way through a series of challenges set by Philips.

Apart from winning the PHILIPS M1X-DJ Sound System, Kamal was also awarded with a Philips exclusive VIP pass to attend a concert with one of the world’s most renowned DJs, Armin Van Buuren. 

“It was truly the most remarkable and energetic experiences I have had since becoming a DJ, and I’m really excited to collaborate with Philips Sound of Arabia as their brand ambassador. Philips went above and beyond to promote regional talents through this competition, and it really was a great honor to be battling with some of the most skilled DJs around the GCC. I can’t wait to join Armin Van Buuren at one of his international concerts, that is truly a dream come true for me and I really want to thank Philips and everyone involved throughout this journey” said Kamal.

Sound experts, music fanatics, party goers, musicians, skilled, and ambitious up-and-coming DJs attended the ecstatic finale, as the three DJs displayed their skills and expertise to create some of the most unique mixes and tunes. 

The finalists included Bahrain-based DJ, code name VJMP3, a young DJ with a track-record of 8 years in spinning experience and unique remixing style; Kamal Al Aroudaky, Saudi-based DJ with professional horseback riding experience. However, when he is not horse-riding, his music inspires fans with his 10 years of spinning and DJ experience in KSA, with dreams of becoming a world-class DJ. Finally, Kamal also contended against UAE-based Tanvir Ahmed, known as Psynapse, who brought his A-game to the event.

“The PHILIPS M1X DJs event was conceptualized to promote and inspire local and regional talents, who acquire a remarkable set of skills in producing and mixing music. “We’re glad that our Philips M1X-DJ Sound System enabled them to produce high-quality audio tunes and to mix songs through different devices. The contestants had their moments of fame, and proudly represented their home countries” said Marc de Kloet, Sales Organization Leader and the General Manager MEA & Turkey at WOOX Innovations.

The preliminary round of the regional M1X DJ Competition saw five DJs from across  the Middle East & Africa compete against each other in a series of challenges to become the first Local DJ Ambassador of Philips Sound of Arabia. DJ challengers each were given the Philips M1X-DJ Sound System and the A3-PRO DJ Philips Headphones to compete their way to the final.

“During the preliminary challenges, we saw the talents and our M1X-DJ system creating some of the most colorful and innovative synergies. The challenges were chosen carefully to reflect on Philips’s strategy, focusing on trending categories in audio systems for young consumers. The technology and interactivity of the M1X-DJ sound system makes for the perfect tool for music enthusiasts, skilled, and up and coming DJs. The final showdown made a lot of noise, and created a community of people who appreciated music, who are skilled talents and have an ear for great sound quality,” concluded Marc.

The Philips M1X-DJ enables users to create incredible sets and stream songs through Lightning connector/ Bluetooth. The M1X-DJ also has a dock for iPad; with which Algoriddm’s djay 2 iPad app can be used to mix music as easily as mixing on decks. It has all the basic features for mixing tunes, scratch wheels, crossfaders and other deck controls.
