Cenk Cimen, Koc Holding Automotive Group President and other senior officials from Ford Otosan including Haydar Yenigün, General Manager, Ahmet Kınay, Assistant General Manager, Emrah Duman, Director - International Markets and Selim Yazıcı, Senior Manager, Mustafa Sinanoglu, ME Countries Manager and senior management members from Al Tayer Motors were present at the launch.
“We are pleased to partner with Al Tayer Motors for the introduction of Ford Trucks in the UAE, which is one of the most rapidly developing countries in the Middle East. We have a wide range of heavy commercial vehicles, which offer transportation solutions to a number of industry segments involved in the massive development projects in the country,” said Mr. Haydar Yenigün, General Manager, Ford Otosan.
“Ford Otosan started its automotive facilities in 1959 with the assembly of trucks. We now transfer our 55 years of engineering and production experience to the trucks that we build. 500 of Ford Otosan’s 1,300 engineers at our R&D Centre, are solely responsible for global development of Ford heavy trucks. We developed our vehicle range for the GCC region based on the feedback from local customers in the Gulf Countries and road tests spanning more than two years and covering over 300,000 kilometers. According to the Global Truck Agreement with Ford Motor Company, we are building our global network in three continents and nearly in 50 countries within regions such as Russia, Turkish Republic, Eastern Europe, Middle East and Northern Africa. In the near future, our plan is to expand our sales, which first started with United Arab Emirates and Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, to the whole region including the Gulf Countries and Middle East. We opened our first regional office in Dubai, which will be responsible for the Middle East region. With the help of our new office, we will be closer to our customers and fulfill their requirements immediately,” added Haydar Yenigün.
Ford Trucks customers will be able to service their vehicles at Al Tayer Motors’ service facility located at Dubai Investments Park. In addition, as part of its customer focused strategy, the company has also launched a Ford Trucks mobile service unit, which is aimed at providing assistance to customers in case of any emergencies.
