Expected to be completed in the third quarter of 2015, the facility will be home to two separate Toyota and Lexus showrooms, and a shared service centre that can cater to over 50 vehicles per day.
The land handover ceremony was held in the presence of Mr. Khaled Al Neyadi, Executive Director of Awqaf Affairs at GAIAE, Jon Williams, Managing Director of Al-Futtaim Motors and Yousuf Al Raeisi, General Manager of Government Relations at Al-Futtaim Motors in addition to a number of senior officials from both organizations.
Jon Williams commented: “Al-Futtaim Motors’ upcoming facility in Madinat Zayed is the result of our strategic expansion plans within the capital and a true demonstration of our dedicated efforts to better service our customers living in the western region.”
Accessible via two different areas, Al Fakah road and the industrial zone, the upcoming facility will be home to two separate buildings; one housing a Toyota showroom while the second will house a Lexus showroom, both connected through a shared 3600m2 service centre.
Al-Futtaim Motors’ expansion plans in Abu Dhabi and the rest of the UAE in the upcoming three years will result in a significant increase in new and refurbished facilities that offer world class sales and after sales experiences, in line with the global standards of Toyota, Lexus and Hino.
