Ibn Battuta Mall played host to the Middle East’s very first outlet of Slapfish when the popular seafood franchise opened its doors in the mall’s China Court in June, 2014. Redefining the seafood experience, Slapfish is the 5th brand to make its way to the Middle East thanks to esteemed Magnolia Restaurant Management who recently opened outlets of popular joints namely, Flippin Pizza, Lemonade, Chickenow and Beards Papa’s.
The remarkable food truck-turned restaurant is the brainchild of veteran food service operators Chefs Andrew Gruel and Jethro Naude who have turned in their truck keys so they can focus on opening a brick and mortar restaurant. Thus, they opened their first Slapfish restaurant in Huntington Beach CA, in addition to most recently opening a 2nd branch in Laguna Beach. At present, Slapfish is working with a local franchise firm to grow the brand in the Middle East to 20 restaurants over the next 5 years. Slapfish is a fast casual sustainable seafood restaurant that boasts of dishes that are healthy, delicious and vibrantly fresh. Slapfish brings its customers real American seafood with simple flavors and a healthy slap of fresh.
Slapfish offers a new perspective on “boat to plate” dining by serving the freshest fish and shellfish sourced from well-managed, responsible suppliers of sustainable seafood. The fun and delectable Slapfish is now dedicating itself to providing its customers in the UAE with a healthy slap of FRESH!
