Dubai, United Arab Emirates: Dubai Chamber of Commerce has awarded axiom the prestigious Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Label for the third consecutive year.
The award is given to companies that demonstrate consistent and significant CSR work and strategy commitment.
“Climate change and resource scarcity are converging to create unique pressures across the region,” said Faisal Al Bannai, CEO, axiom, on receiving the award.
“There is also the ever-present issue of sustainable job creation and career development for our talented youth. Against such a backdrop, and as an Emirati businessman, I simply cannot sit idly on the sidelines. These are issues that concern me, they concern my customers, and they concern my country.”
“axiom, with its reach and influence, is in a unique position to set an example and drive positive change,” he added.
“For us, corporate social responsibility is never a throwaway buzzword, but a rigorous commitment and an ongoing dialogue with our employees and local communities to become better and more future-proof. I passionately believe that a well-run business can be a force for good, and am committed to proving this point on a daily basis.”
The Dubai Chamber of Commerce CSR label provides a free diagnostic framework that helps a company assess its current CSR contribution and future potential. It is also a learning and development tool that helps companies to define and improve their CSR strategy, policies and management practices. The Dubai Chamber CSR Label is tailored to the Middle East, specifically to the UAE and Dubai, and is based on international standards and best practices.
Axiom Telecom’s own CSR reputation is based on long-standing commitments to entrepreneurialism, environmental impact reduction, promoting UAE culture and multifaceted community engagement initiatives.
